It’s time for Equality!

As a minority in America, we must take the initiative to claim Equal Rights as our own.  SameLoveSameRights.com provides a variety of tools to help each of us, in states all across America, take steps to make that happen.

How We Began...  The Same Love, Same Rights initiative was created by the founders of www.RainbowWeddingNetwork.com.   (RWN)  Since 2003, RWN has produced many of the nation’s first-ever GLBTQ Wedding Expos and also publishes the nation’s first Wedding Magazine dedicated to our community.  Inherently, RWN has helped to legitimize the issue of same-sex marriage rights throughout this past decade.

However, as the RWN staff personally met couples, singles and GLBTQ advocates over the past several years, there seemed to be a cohesiveness and an enthusiasm lacking:  Many people simply didn’t feel they could make a real difference, or they were unsure how to get involved.  And so, the simple tenets of the Same Love, Same Rights initiative were born.

Across America, over 19 million citizens identify as gay or lesbian.  Adding in our brothers and sisters who are bisexual, trans-gendered, queer or questioning, as well as our advocates and allies... we become a powerful minority that must be recognized!  If we each take part, there is no doubt we can create Equality in our own lifetimes.
